So, I'm looking for fics that are family filled. Whether it be single parents, big family, etc.

I need help.

I have a twitter, adf has a twitter, and I have no idea about tweeting.  I have no idea how people follow conversations on there--at all.  If i see something with my name on it, it takes me ten minutes to figure out how to reply, and then, the moment has past and I feel like a loser.

AND I'M SICK AND TIRED OF IT AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Actually, Jennyfly demanded I learn Twitter.  Efficiently.  Like, how to keep up with it and things, so i'm not constantly asking questions about it. 

So this is the plan:  I have a series of one-shots that I planned to post on ADF--but instead, I'm going to attempt to tweet one of them tonight.

This will be one of four little stories based on getting to each base.  I'm tweeting second base.

I KNOW there are more tech-disabled people out there who don't understand Twitter, either.  I ask you to do this with me.

Together, we can learn and not be outcasted because of our lack of tweeting.

I'm going to tweet the story from the @Differentforest account starting at, like, 8:30 p.m. eastern. 

Someone, please show up and tell me if i'm doing it right or not. 

*also, there will be no River Dam Update this Sunday, as I'm devoting myself to figuring out the jungle that is TWITTER.

I’m sad to say that front man of the band Type O Negative, Peter Steele, 48, died of heart failure on April 14^th.

I jumped onto their website today to check out a couple things and caught a message:

“It is with great sadness that we inform you that Type O Negative front man, bassist, and our band mate, Peter Steele passed away last night of what appears to be heart failure.

Ironically Peter had been enjoying a long period of sobriety and improved health and was imminently due to begin writing and recording new music for our follow up to "Dead Again" released in 2007.

The official cause of death has yet to be determined pending autopsy results. The funeral services will be private and memorial services will be announced at a future date. We’d like to share our thoughts and those of Peter’s family below.
We are truly saddened to lose our friend and appreciate the tremendous outpouring today from around the world.

I need opinions from people who's opinion I value... I figured this would be a good place to start.

So. I write two stories, This Mortal Life which is Jake-slash, sort of canon fic; and Born to be Mine which is Bella/Edward, AH AU OOC. In B2bM it has already been established that Jake is dead even before the story begins, but I've always intended on showing how he died in a 'flashback' chapter. Because of my deep, deep attachment to my Jake in TML I'm finding it almost impossible to kill Jake off in B2bM. I know it's a different story, hell, it's a completely different version of the character, but I really don't want to do it!

I've had a bit of a chat with my beta (the fabulous greeneyedgirly) and I'm considering asking someone to ghost- write that chapter, only because I want to do it justice and not just churn out any old crap just to fill up the space. So my questions are:

If you were reading B2bM, would you think it was cheating?

Do you think I should force myself to write it anyway, regardless of if I didn't 'do it justice'?

Is there anyone out there who would actually consider ghost- writing it for me?! Full credit would, of course, be given for any work anyone does on it.

Do you know of any other stories, other than collaborations of course, where this has been done? Did it work?!

So, I've been racking my brain for a good 24 hours, because I was reading this fic and I can't remember what it's called or who it's by and I didn't put it on story alert. So if you guys could help me, that would be great.

It's an Edward/Bella where they are in high school. She's not allowed to date until she's 17 and on her 17th birthday he took her out to a diner and all he ever wanted to do get out of Forks and be something but then he gets Bella pregnant and they end up buying a crappy house that used to he Harry Clearwater's and he goes to work at Newton's lumbar yard. She ends up having a girl...sound familiar?

If you guys know of another recent campire along this same topic, can you please point me to the link?  I received one of those "Can I translate your fic into Russian?" e-mails today. I've heard a little bit about this topic here and there over the past while reading fanfic, but I haven't yet finalized my own opinion about it. So I figured that you all could give me the skinny. These people want to translate and put it up on their own site (not FF.net). I don't yet know what site it is. I also do not speak Russian, so I would not be able to validate the accuracy/quality of the translation.

My question is: If you or someone you know has allowed translation of your fic, has it worked out okay? What are the potential downsides or pitfalls? Right now, I'm leaning toward allowing it just because I don't really care. But I figure since this has been sort of a hot button (e.g., with Poughkeepsie), I was curious what you all know.

CBS Sunday Morning had a segment about 'Gustav Holst's - The Planets' today which inspired me to scramble for my old CD collection so i could listen to it in full. I've always loved this Suite, Jupiter inparticular, and was a little ashamed of myself because i haven't listened to it for a few years. Recently i've been favouring Massenet, but that's besides the point.

Anyway, i just wondered if any of our Campers have favourite Classical Pieces or Composers?

I know it's sunday and i'm supposed to tie-in with something Twilight related soooo, as we know, Edward is a fan of many music genre's including Classical. He and Bella had a mutual love of Clair De Lune by Debussy.  There, Ranger's is that adequate?

Last night the husband and I are taking part of our nomal Saturday night romp. He starts swiping his palms across my ta ta's roughly...first swipe, yea it feels good, around swipe number thirty, not so good! I'm beginning to wonder if things will start falling off.

Is it too much to ask for him to love,lick,swirl,pull,pinch my breasts? You know what I mean...if not read "the Office".

Now, I know from experience that my husband does not like his sexual wonderfulness to be questioned, but me being the wife that I am, I can't help myself ( i also may be worried that he is causing permanent damage). I say that he may need to change up his routine a bit and try to give suggestions, lets just say things went DOWNHILL after that...pun intended.

Next thing I know i'm back on the sofa reading more Fanfic.

So I ask you...Is it wrong to expect more? This has never been an issue before and we've been doing this sex thing for a long time. Is it fair to him? he is just a man, a real man?

I feel the need to tell you that my husband is the love of my life, he is sweet and he loves me more than anything, but he is diffenatly an old school mans man.

So today I go back to university...luckily it's only for two weeks...but then I have exams and I have four tests in these two weeks...needless to say I'm not a happy camper

Judging by it now, would you be interested in reading the story without knowing a whole lot besides what the banner sort of tells you?

Hey! I need help finding the FIRST ever Twilight Fanfiction that I read a while back. I'm sure it was on Fanfiction.net but the story pot is so big that I can't find it again.

It's about Edward meeting Bella when he's still in a relationship with Tanya. There are three parts to this story, with each chapter in a different POV. The first chapter is in Tanya's POV. What I remember is Edward meeting Bella when she drives into Edward's car. They go have coffee, and Edward lies about having a girlfriend because he's is immediately attracted to her. The story is retold in each other their POVs.

It was the first fic, and I adored it. It's also one of the few fics where Tanya is not hated as the "other woman".

Hello everyone, its been a while in between campfires and I would like to know

WHO HAS BOOKED THEIR MIDNIGHT RELEASE TICKETS FOR ECLIPSE?

I just booked mine last night, if anyone is from my neck of the woods, I will be at Hoyts, Chadstone Shopping Centre 30th June 2010 (my birthday btw) at 10pm getting ready to ogle the beautiful Edward Cullen in the movie of the best book in the whole Twilight Series.

On another topic completely I was wondering if I could get some prayers happening for my niece as she is pregnant with twins and at 26 weeks she and the babies are in a bit of trouble.  She is in hospital and the doctors are really looking after her, but a little prayer would not hurt at all at the moment.  She is named after me, Jennifer and she is a team Edward but she is going to name one of them Jacob.
