Ladies, I need your help!

As you may be aware, ADF is currently growing above and beyond our wildest expectations. As such, people are giving us feedback on what they like/don’t like and how they’d like to be involved.

So as such, I’m currently scouting talent for ADF – we’re starting a section of blogs and I’m the talent scout, meaning I’m looking for people who are intelligent, witty and not afraid to pull punches to come on board and join the ADF family.

• Do you know of anyone who you think would write a blog you would want to read?
• Do you have something about the series/fandom you’ve always wanted to talk about in depth?
• Have you got a special interest, either canon or fanon/fandom, that you think would make a great series of blogs (shipping? The golden rules of vampires and how SMeyer fucked them up? Spotlights on different fandom areas?)

Okay, I think about this a lot.

What's the deal with birth control being mentioned constantly in stories? I understand that a lot of us are trying to assure readers that no one will be getting pregnant, but sometimes it's just...uch. I know a lot of authors who do a wonderful job mentioning a condom, or the pill, in their chapters. I've mentioned it 100 times myself. But lately, it's like the chapter before the 'lemon' or right before sex, there's always an awkward talk, or Edward just sees Bella's birth control hanging out by the bed, or I'm being given yet another lesson on how condoms work. I don't even know why this bothers me... It doesn't matter, I suppose.

My questions are: are authors responsible for teaching readers about safe sex and contraception? Do readers need to be assured constantly? Do we even enjoy the constant references? Are we incapable of just assuming someone used something because SM gave us Nessie and we are all terrified of Nessie II in whatever fic it is that we're reading?

I'm obviously an advocate for safe sex. This is NOT what my campfire is about. Just wondering what others think about this sort of 'requirement' in fic.

I am in need of a good fic that includes a sexy partyboy Edward and a sexy fun loving confident Bella.  I just read all of Edward Wallbanger that there is and absolutely would kill for more!!!! People who are forced to spend long amounts of time with me on gchat/Skype/Twitter know that I'm obsessed with two scenes in Twilight.

Scene 1: Ray-Bans, Volvo, Angela's "Oh. My. God." Come on - R is so pretty that I scream a little (mostly silently) every time I see him place his arm around her shoulder.

Scene 2: Edward jumps onto Bella's truck? I think? He looks adorable. OmgRobissoprettyinthatscene. He says something about taking her to meet his family.

Okay - so here's the thing. I know there must be videos/gifs of these two precious moments out there, and I've definitely seen Scene 1 on YouTube, but I couldn't find Scene 2 when I searched for it one night, and I am SO lazy. So, if ANY of you have links, gifs, nice pictures, anything - let me know?
