I don't think this has been asked yet (if it has, could someone please direct me to the thread?), I completely squeed when I got my Target 3-Disc Deluxe Edition DVD. I immediately unwrapped it to look at my film cell. This is what I got one that basically looked like this:

so last night i read Scotch Gin and The New Girl for the first time. i LOVED it! can't believe it took me so long to finally start it.

anyway, someone on twitter said they believed jasper from SG&TNG was so great many jasper fics did a spin off of him.

i want to know; what older fics have such great characters that other writers wanted to base their characters off of?

i'll start with one of my favs. Wide Awake has my favorite edward. i have read many fics that take pieces of that edward because of his awesomeness :)

2. Tonight is Junior Banquet at my college. Only the biggest deal of your college career. I'm a senior this year, so I got to make my Junior dress up however the hell I wanted this week in order for her to earn her ring and her senior robe (mine, which I pass down to her).

The ENTIRE college celebrates by getting COMPLETELY PLASTERED and having a blast!!!

So, in honor of these two most excellent events, I am throwing the forest a party.

So earlier this week we went to my daughters violin recital. There was a young girl there about the same age as my 6 yo, and they became instant buddies, as 6 yo are known to do, it was so cute watching them play with the costume jewelry my daughter had brought with her.

Well, about 10 minutes in, the little girl suddenly got up and climbed into her mothers lap. Before I knew what was happening, she'd pulled her mothers shirt down, and started breastfeeding! Now I'd heard of children this old that still nursed, but I'd never seen it with my own eyes before. Needless to say my 6 yo was confused as hell (you should have seen her: mouth gapeing, eyes bugged out). I think the mom may have felt a little embarrass when my daughter said "Why is she doing that to her mommy?" At that point the women tried to get her daughter to unlatch. Well that did it. The little girl started flinging her feet about and slapping her mother on the chest demanding the breast.

It was really uncomfortable to be around while this was all going down and I tried to ignore it all. The mom finally gave in after about 10 blows to the chest from her "little darlin".

I had to spend the car ride home trying to explain what had happened to my confused (and honestly, disturbed) kindergartener.

So what do you think? I guess this women has a right to breastfeed her 5 yo if that is what she believes in. I don't happen to agree with it, but for me the bigger problem is the way she didn't seem to be in control of her own breast. It's like any time, any place, if her daughter decides she wasn't to nurse then there's no stopping her.

Okay since its Free For All Friday....I have another question for y'all cuz I am bored and dont want to have to think about having to start working again tomorrow...Any girls here writing for that?? If you are how far along are you into the prompts and do you think you will finish before April 1st?? Oh and leave a link too...  HIGH SCHOOL PROM!!!

My friends and I are going to the "Adult Prom" tomorrow night at a local-ish bar.  Never been to one, but from what I hear, it's just like a high school prom, except that all the drinking you do there is LEGAL!

I'm totally excited about this one, because this is a chance for a redo.  I went to three proms in high school (two junior year and one senior year) and all three of them sucked major gonads.  This time around, I actually have a group of good friends to get ready with, go out to eat with and party all night long with!

So...tell me, how was prom for you?  Share your stories, post pictures if you want!  If I can dig up pictures from almost 10 years ago, I will post some in the comments later tonight!

hello lovlies *waves nervously* ..umm yeah this is my very first post here and I hope I'm not breaking any rules. I need a little help in finding a fanfic. please, pretty please? I guess someone on ADF has rec'ed it  earlier. It is called  "our tree". AH, E/B (I guess) where bella is engaged to mike now in present time..and the flashback starts. they were childhood best friends.. I had just started this fic but now I cant find it anymore! I'm worried that the author might have abandoned it? :( does anyoen know anything about it? Thanks so much in advance.

Have you  ever thought about flouncing the fandom?? Not the great friends you met but just the fandom...I have because it is taking over my life and I miss hanging out with my RL friends(who all think I have died if they havent heard from me within a few days) instead of reading ff all freaking day...its depressing really and I miss reading actual books...I have like 20 books that have been collecting dust on my shelves because of FF haha...so ADF girls...would you ever quit the fandom to get your real life back??

Okay - so I'm in love with Kristen Stewart. When I promise to stfu about something and not spread it, I swear on Kristen's legs (several Rangers can attest to this). When I wake up, I see her face on my iPhone screen. I love her.

So when I realized I'm slow and don't know how to post pictures on ADF, I thought - what better motivation to learn than a Kristen appreciation post?!

Two weeks ago I was dying of boredom so I bought this

A new shiny Boreanaz specimen Ds game! (only because it was cheap XD)

Having two free periods before class and the game in my bag (I'd gone to the market and had bought it on yet another free period earlier that day), I decided to take a peek at the instructions and presentation of the game since I was literally falling asleep. And then, when I reached the character's presentation page I saw this...

 Not only is there an Edward in this game, but there's an Emmett too! "How funny", I thought (seeing their name on paper had woken me up lol). "It could be a coincidence..." But when I turned the page...

Holy crow! There's a Jasper too! I read on the box that I could marry someone and have a family, but I later discovered your character had to be male (the one on the cover). I thought for a second that I could  get Edward... TT

  I then looked for Carlisle, but fortunately for him, he was forgotten. He wouldn't have survived the slaughter... When I started to play, I discovered lots of things...

Emmett is the owner of a bar, which kinda suits him...Edward is a doctor, but a long haired man with a moustache (the 17 century old handsome sparkly vampire was long gone...) and Jasper may be the mayor of the village thanks to his manipulating skills but he was turned into a "gourmet", which isn't really offending, but let's say his looks were really, really altered. He's a not-handsome Dudley-like big-boned man...and still could be taken since he has a daughter - who is by the way, a potential bride XD Jasper and I could be family -hey, being his son-in-law coudn't be that bad... could it?

Even if the game was a disappointment, I got a 3-Cullen package. I can say that I own Edward, Jasper and Emmett Cullen thanks to the Twilight fangirls (hence the lack of Twilight females XD) who infiltrated the creator's team.Now, where can I purchase a Carlisle??

Because we're girls! I'm not very girly but I really like putting on makeup. It makes me feel pretty. I have a TON of it!

 Okay, something obviously inspires the fanfics that we authors write. For me, most of the time, it's music. Music and I are like Bella and Edward, we get all pouty and catatonic when we're not around each other.

What inspires your fanfics, campers?

For example, my very first fanfic was inspired by the song I'm So Sick by Flyleaf. I've attempted and failed many different kinds of historical fics because I'm a history geek.
