The NEW reigning Super Bowl Champs are set to take on the cast of Twilight in New Orleans next month for a charity softball game.

He will be joined on the local team by Saints teammates Lynell Hamilton and Kyle Eckel.

Some of the proceeds from the game will benefit earthquake relief efforts in Haiti, as well as to the Blood Center of Southeast Louisiana and the 9th Ward Field of Dreams.

Rosters still are being finalized, but the "Twilight" team will include actor Peter Facinelli, who plays Carlisle Cullen in the "Twilight" movies. He will be joined by Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Tyson Houseman, all of whom appeared in last year's "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" and are scheduled to appear in June's "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."

Tickets to the game -- which will include admission to a post-game autograph session and a concert -- are $25 and are available online atwww.fantrips.travel/twilightfantrips/.

 I just found another story that has been plagiarized.  The original story is called A Little Piece Of Heaven by vampgirl18.  It's been stolen by author LadyExcalibur2010 and renamed Just A Tasteful Little Affair.  She changed some of the words but it's totally the same story.  The original was published on 12/30/09 and the copycat on 01/22/10.

I just wanted to give a heads up because I personally think this kind of thing is wrong.

Okay so, i'm not trying to rain on the parade or anything. I just have a question about an overwhelming number of fanfiction out there and it's honestly really gnawing me to the bone. I probably wouldn't care or would have just moved on with no further thought if this trend wasn't all over the fucking place.

The root of my despair (dramatic no?): WHY is it so fucking commonplace for edward to fall head over heels in love with bella, piss around about it or pine over her like he's leo dicaprio in titanic, but STILL go fuck some other random ass chick (usually tanya) because...what? A guys gotta get laid? i'm sorry but I don't understand this line of thinking or why it's so common. I've never done that so i just don't get how or why apparently so many people in the fic community have or assume men do. To me, it's gross and asinine.  No they're not official yet but come-the-hell-on! anyone care to explain? i'm not saying I'll be okay with it. I drop fics so fucking fast when authors do that shit. Nothing personal to anyone.

Anyone else bothered by this?

It's really not your normal Edward/Bella/crazy James story and I think you all should give it a go! 

Calling a spade a spade - it's been a tough few weeks in fandom. Hell, it's been a tough few weeks for ME in fandom.

I'm not the type to focus on the negative - so I took my normal course, self medication with some good chocolate and laying in bed staring at the ceiling. Yes, we have our blips, but this fandom can do some pretty cool stuff when it chooses to. Raising money for charity, donating time, writing amazing stories, offering support...the list could go on and on. Then I started thinking about all the people that helped me get started a little over a year ago - who took a gamble on an unknown writer who didn't do conventional stories and is probably a little to ideal for her own good. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be here today.

So this morning, on a total whim, I decided to pay it back. I move a million miles an hour - both in the fandom and in real life. Grass doesn't grow under my feet, and sometimes that means I don't stop to say thank you or tell people I appreciate them. I wanted to let people know how much I appreciated what they do, the time the spend, the little slices of themselves that they share. So I started DM'ing and tweeting, and I made a few comm posts. 

Everything kind of snowballed from there. How or why, I am not really sure. The Pollyanna in me likes to think that it was just a good time to do it. First it was people reaching out, then the #fandomloveday showed up on twitter, then the Pay it Forward post on ADF. I sit back here, awed, amazed, and truly humbled by how people played off something small and relatively insignificant I did in a moment of idealism and turned it into an all day event. I can't say that the fandom surprised me, for at root, we are diverse, amazing group. What amazed me is how people reached out and made new friends today, were exposed to some new stories - things that will continue beyond today. For that I am grateful - more than you will ever know.

This is why our fandom rocks - and why I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Here's how I've come to this conclusion.  Over the past few days, I've been brainstorming over ideas for entries to some of the upcoming oneshot contests, and it was complete and total fail.

But now that I am sitting down attempting to coerce my mind into hammering out 2,000 plus words on Wordsworth's lyrical ballads in relation to the rules he set up in his preface (which, as much as I love Wordsworth's poems... I've gone through the preface five times and am still at a giant WTF?!?), I now have a mind completely overflowing with story ideas and dialogue and plot twists begging to be written down.  It always happens like this... the only time I really get creative is when I'm on a major deadline (paper due in the A.M. and it's almost 10pm here).  It always ends up leading to all-nighters, which I'm growing to despise.

Anyways... does this ever happen to you or are you lucky enough to be creative at will?  Where / when do you inconveniently get hit by your creative muses?

We like to do things here in the forest and in honor of "Fandom Pay It Forward Day" we decided that a  RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS post was neccessary. While we love TELLING about the love, we want to show it, too.

Everone needs a little kindness. Mom was always there with a popsicle or a bandaid. Dad put chains on your tires on an icy morning. The carnation in your school locker from a secret admirer made you smile... you get the idea.

Random acts of kindness make the world brighter. So if you're needing a little sunshine as February drags on, let it out here. Say what would put the sauce on your tamale, and someone else will randomly make your wish come true. And once your cockles are warmed by the milk of human kindness, do that pay it forward thing and make someone else's day.

Come on Campers, show someone how you much you love. Make them a playlist, dedicate a song to them, write them a one-shot,give them some paid LJ time, make a banner, give them a particular download they wanted- it doesn't matter-just give back.
