I am going to a party, doing a million errands and watching the wildcard playoffs. It is suppose to be freezing here so we will probably watch some movies as well. And of course, I will be hanging in the forest!

I love how non-intimidating and welcoming this site is. Thanks for that everybody! The general tone of everyone's posts/comments has encourage me to just DO it already. I'm shy, what can I say?

I just read the loveliest fic...I believe it was rec'd on TLYDF. Not sure if I'm supposed to start a whole dang fire about it but I figured I've lurked long enough...

It's called A War of Cynics by Greeen Goldfish. The dialogue is spectacular and I feel like I owe it to her to rec this since I wanted to review every single chapter but I didn't (there are a LOT of them, but they flew by for me.) It's intelligent, and captivating, and funny....and I'm not sure I've ever been more turned on by someone else's version of Edward than right now. It's impossible to not love him.

Hey guys, I know this is like my second post, but I just wanted to steer your attention to this really great fic that I've been following for a really long time. It's called Unraveled Knot by twistedcoincedence. This really isn't like anything I've ever read. Its got this really unique and quirky Bella that speaks her mind, but is also damaged by her relationship with her mother. And the many relationships that her mother has had with men. Its got this PencilNeck Edward that is living this mundane lifestyle because its safe and doesn't require him to acknowledge his problems. Its got a Carlisle that is obsessed with home shopping and snuggies and an Emmett that you just want to kidnap!

I really love this fic because it really touched my heart, and I know that you guys will love it too. Its gonna make you feel emo, but the humor is gonna having you lulzing like crazy!

So I just want you to give it a chance. The author has been kinda down bc her co-author bounced on her, but she's been encouraged to continue. So show her some support!!!

Ok, so second campfire of the day and I kinda feel like an attention whore.....

Anywayzzzz....

Where would I go to find someone who would want to colloborate with me on a fic? I've never written one before, so I kinda want someone there to help ease me off the first time around. And I feel like errbody has a BFF on here but me (I know I'm probably wrong, but *sniffle*).

Howdy Campers. I haven't slept more than 2 hours a night since Christmas. The reason why is inconsequential but to make matters worse, I just received news that will only contribute to my insomnia rendering me even MORE useless.

 I sincerely apologize for not putting up the pimp post this week and for not giving our VIP authors who posted here this week proper recognition from myself (Campers do just fine without me, though!)  I will make it up to you in spades and promise bigger, better posting in the future. YOU ALL deserve time in the spotlight because you are ALL so amazing;  authors, readers and the campers here for the candy alike.

A FIC REC, specifically one that I could THINK ABOUT A LOT. One that would really get inside my head and make me want to live in that world for a while. I don't care if it's sad or funny or what, I just want something that will make me feel something other than what is keeping me up at night. Get it?

So, authors/writers/geniuses/whatever you call yourself, I was curious about something...

When you are writing a multi-chaptered fic, how many chapters do you usually write before you start posting? Do you write a chapter and immediately post? Do you write a handful, and then post on a schedule, but stay ahead? Or do you write pretty much the whole thing before posting?

I ask because I'm slowly realizing that I need at least a few chapters' worth of buffer time... you know, just in case rl blows or in case my imagination gets stuck. This is esp true now that I'm managing more stories than I really should be.

Just curious about what the rest of you do... educate me!!!!

I was thinking about how all the Bella's are written in fics and in Twilight and I've come to the conclusion that I'm am just a lazy pig.

Or at least thats what I feel like sometimes when I read a fic. Bella walks the dog, runs ten miles, scrubs the bathroom floor, dusts, grocery shops, changes the goddamn oil, all of this stuff before 11am on a saturday. At 11am on saturday Im not even woke. If I am, Its only cause Im debating on whether or not Im gonna get up and take a piss or wait for one of those niffty tubes they'll put in my body at the hospital after my bladder explodes.  She's like a friggin robot for cryin out loud. I've never read Edward doing tons of stuff before the crack of dawn, further proof that he is with the wrong woman.

I am I the only one who noticed this?

My best friend and I spent last night on facebook posting different pictures of Jackson on each other's walls.

Howdy Campers!

I need a quick favor! I have a reader, Itaranu18, who contacted me on December 6th. She told me I made her laugh until she vomited which got her Mother’s attention. She had the swine flu and fanfiction was keeping her company while she recovered. She said reading fanfiction, "has truly improved the quality of my life as of late."

I wrote her back that while I liked it that I was amusing her, perhaps she should hold back on the puking part, and told her my brother had the swine flu and said it was the most painful thing he’s ever experienced (and he is not a whiner). So then I didn’t hear from her for a few weeks. I received this on January 2nd:

I'm doing much better (sorry for not reviewing and getting back to you) and thanks for your concern. Your brother was right. H1N1 is worse than pneumonia pain wise. It's so painful in fact that it masked the pain of my appendix rupturing and the subsequent pain of the bacteria from my appendix eating holes in my small intestine. Two surgeries and your wonderful story has me feeling right as rain. And the morphine clicker the doctor gave me is just the icing on the cake. Please keep writing. (Sorry for typing so much about myself lol)

She wrote me today. She is still in the hospital. How much does it SUCK to get sick and be in the hospital with not one, but two surgeries over the holidays? I told her about ADF and what a nice place it is. 

I wanted to post a campfire here to wish her well and hoped you all could do the same and give her story rec’s or cool pictures while she is recovering. She told me today she will be coming over online to check out ADF and I thought we could welcome her. She needs a lot to read.
