So I'm new here and have never started a campfire before, so here goes:

First, I'm RebekahAndRobert (it's a mouthful, so Rebekah will do just fine).  Nice to meet you.

Second, I got a twitter account today.  I still don't really know what that means.  I've never had a myspace and I don't have a facebook, but I now have a twitter.  For one reason and one reason only: TinyEdward.  That's his twitter address.  If you've never heard of him, you should follow him, if you twitter.  My friend's coworker got an Edward doll and started his own twitter for him awhile ago.  She keeps him in her purse ALL THE TIME and twitters everything he does.  This woman's poor husband hates her because of it.  So TinyEdward goes on vacation, he goes to Atlantic City, he gets drunk, all sorts of shit.  And there's always a picture so you can see TinyEdward in all his twittering glory.  I used to just check it periodically using my friend's twitter account but today I decided to just get one of my own for shits and giggles.  Although I don't know how much shitting and/or giggling goes on on twitter.  So, I don't know if I'll be an active twitterer (I refuse to use the term "tweet" - it's embrrassing for everyone involved) but you can add me.  Or not.  Whatever you fancy.  My twitter name is IAmToWait.  Also, leave me a comment or PM me or whatever and I will follow your twitterings.

I think that's all for my introductory campfire.  My thought process is, however, very fragmented and fleeting, so I probably forgot tons of what I wanted to say.

It's funny because this is the most popular HP fanfic I know of and it only has around 3,300 reviews (Which is nothing compared to fics in Twilight fandom).

Here's mine.  Well, it's a picture of one with the same make and model, but it's not *mine*.  It's a '92 Chevy Cavalier Wagon.  Mine's in a lovely, flat grey.  I still have her.  She's rusty and leaky and on her second engine, and I've had her since '03, I think.  My parents paid for her.  'Cause I'm a bum like that.  $2,000.

EXCLUSIVE. Howard Shore is on board to compose the original score for the third film in the Twilight series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Temple Hill Entertainment today confirmed to MovieScore Magazine that the Lord of the Rings composer is going to write the music for the film, following in the footsteps of Carter Burwell (who scored the first film in 2008) and Alexandre Desplat (who wrote the music for the second, New Moon). Shore has begun work, spotting the movie, this week.

Howard Shore is, of course, best known for the Tolkien trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson, an epic work that is currently touring the world in concert form, performed live to projection. Shore also recently rescored the Mel Gibson action thriller Edge of Darkness for Warner Bros, replacing John Corigliano. This film is opening in the US next week.

As someone who loves movie scores this is HUGE news. Howard Shore is amazing. Not just for LOTR but also for films such as The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia, The Departed and The Aviator and has won Oscars, Golden Globes and Grammys. 

In other words, this is a big name in music and considering The Departed and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy are two of my favorite scores I am very excited.

What do you love/hate about our favorite twilight stars?  I want to see evidence!!

Okay… Friday Free For All, right? I have to recommend a book to you all (I know, an actual BOOK, with a cover and page numbers and everything!). It’s called SHIVER and was written by Maggie Stiefvater and was published last summer. It’s AMAZING, so, so good! I finished it a few weeks ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it.

Just a short synopsis: it’s about a 17 year old girl who has a weird fascination with the wolves that live in the woods behind her house, one wolf in particular. And then she learns that the wolves are werewolves who change in cold weather and are human during the warmer summer months. Her special wolf ends up turning human, they fall for each other, and then struggle to find a “cure” so he doesn’t change back to wolf form.

Sounds weird, probably, but it is firmly grounded in reality and it’s the most romantic book I’ve ever read. I highly recommend you check it out!
