New Moon Dream Sequences? *spoiler*

Sunday November 29, 2009 at 9:50 AM

For everyone who's seen the movie, does anyone know what happened to the dream sequences that were talked about beforehand?

There were these quotes from Rob and Kristen:

The dream sequences are really eerie,” says Kristen Stewart, “it’s like you have something that is your idea of like perfection but you’re afraid of it while afraid of losing it, it’s like very masochistic.”

“He gets the chance to be a little bit more scary in the dream sequences. He’s not so perfect,” she continues. “One dream sequence which I don’t think anyone will expect,” says Pattinson, “Edward is this kind of demon.” “So, hopefully people will be a little freaked out by it.”

I was really intrigued and looking forward to seeing this, but it seems that these dream sequences were cut. There were even photos published from dream sequences, like with Edward leaning over Bella in bed, then Bella leaning over herself asleep in bed, but these scenes just weren't there.

Any idea why? I hope they're at least on the DVD.

From Vampire To Rowing Champ

Sunday November 29, 2009 at 8:29 AM

Meet Robert Pattinson, The Rowing Champ

London: Robert Pattinson turned out to be a champ at rowing when he beat his co-star of the hot Twilight saga Chaske Spencer.

Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the movies, and Spencer, who plays werewolf Sam Uley in the New Moon film, had a rowing race on the set of New Moon in the weight room that was needed to keep all the actors in shape for the film.

"We were all really competitive and supportive of one another. One time, I had the highest score on this rowing machine and the next day I came in and Rob had beaten me," the Daily Star quoted Spencer as saying.

"He worked out at night, and the wolves came in during the day. I'd beat him and then he'd beat me. On the last day of shooting, I came in and he'd beaten me by a second," he added.

Who knew our guy Rob was a multitasker?

I prefer him in the real thing personally, but the idea of him on an actual work out machine - hopefully - tobless with beads of sweat rolling down his chest is also very appealing to me.

I thought Rob was bagels guy myself, but turns out he is a working out guy.

Again, who knew?

Lettuce discuss...

How many authors here use Twitter?

Sunday November 29, 2009 at 8:04 AM

And why do you use it?

I've seen a number of posters here mention authors on Twitter, and that egotistical behavior there can really turn you off of a writer.  I can definitely understand that.  What I don't get is, what's in it for the tweeter?  Drumming up business?

If you're a reader, do you like following your favorite author's tweets for teasers?

I have a Twitter account but I rarely tweet anything.  Honestly, my life is not that interesting, lol.  I follow some authors and other Twilight-related accounts, including this blog, for updates.  What about you? If you don't use it, why not?

Taylor Lautner and James Franco: Who Will Be a Better 'SNL' Host?

When SNL announced yesterday that James Franco and Taylor Lautner would be hosting in December, I had one thought: Man, I would love to see these two wrestle. Just kidding: I thought man, James Franco is going to obliterate poor Taylor Lautner and his biceps of teenwolf lust.

wtvoc gets medieval

Saturday November 28, 2009 at 8:31 PM

hi, campers!  ranger wtvoc here, HBIC and BAMF.

listen, i've been PMing some of you a lot lately, and well- i'm a little tired of it, so i'm gonna get samuel L. on yer asses and do a post about it.

your campfires are amazing.  they are.

but they need to be about twilight.  'tis in the rules somewhere.

rangers post whatever they want- it's our website, and we reserve the right to do so.  if you ever notice, though- our non-twi posts are designed to getch'all involved.

so please.  keep it related to twilight, and make sure it's interactive.  if you wanna post something outside the realm of the twilight, you can private message one of the rangers and ask if it's cool.  doesn't hafta be me.  then you can put "posted with permission from that jackhole wtvoc" so that the other rangers know you asked.

okay, i don't like being a dick, so have some funnies and some pretties on me.  but really, please try to keep to the rules.  we pride ourselves on being drama and bitchfest free, and i'll kill every single campfire in here to keep up appearances.

Lurkers Part 2

Saturday November 28, 2009 at 7:54 PM

So, earlier, I had a mini rant about how I hate lurkers, and asked what people thought, and I got back a major response. First I should clarify: I don't hate all lurkers, but I hate it when someone adds me to fav stories, fav author, story alert, author alert, and don't bother to leave even a single review.

Many lurkers lurk because they feel like it's useless to write a single line review that must have been written many times before. MOST authors love all reviews. I reply to all my reviewers, regardless of how many times they've reviewed and what their review says. I've had people review every single chapter with "great chapter. can't wait for the next one," and I was always happy to see it. I'm just sayin; all you lurkers, please don't be discouraged from reviewing something you like because you think what you write doesn't matter. I think many writers would have ditched their awesome stories long ago if it weren't for that small group of people cheering them on.

Lurkers: try to leave one little review for every story you love, pretty please? Even if you think it's stupid, I can assure you that 99.9% of people won't. (There's always the really nasty people, but whatever)

My rant mood isn't over, but I found meself some Robporn to cheer up :)

Saturday November 28, 2009 at 7:50 PM

I just got really fucking excited because Luabunny had a chapter update for Uninvited in my inbox. My eyeballs just about popped out of my head. Alas, it was not a real chapter, but it was a promise that a new one is coming. Yay! Maybe somehow she got word of my last post asking about it. Regardless I am just too happy that uninvited is not abandoned!! WOO WOO!

The Mominator

The Office

Saturday November 28, 2009 at 6:22 PM

I read somewhere that the eiplogue for this story is up.  I didn't get a notice and when I went to FF it said the story couldn't be found.  Does someone know anything about this or where I could find the eiplogue?

Saturday November 28, 2009 at 5:39 PM

I have a major issue with lurkers. I mean, how long does it take for someone to write a one sentence review? But no, so few people ever bother. And it's driving me insane, so this is my rant. I hate it when people take the time to add my fic to their favorite stories and/or story alert and can't even be bothered to tell me what they thought!

I'd rather someone give me a bad review than nothing at all.

So authors, how do lurkers make you feel?
